Deciduous Christians

Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. (Revelation 3:2)š›š›

Sycamores, Maples, Sweetgums, Hickories. All around us we are astounded by the brilliance of color in recent weeks. God’s palette radiates with profound beauty!š›

There is something else going on inside though. These trees are slowly dropping their leaves as the temperature steadily declines. To us, the changes are negligible from day to day, but God has built within these trees a system that knows better. Winter is coming and growth must stop if life should be possible later.š›

The Christian finds application from these trees. Unlike the trees, Christians that cease to grow will die. It might not seem like growth is slowing down in your life, it may seem negligible like the temperature changes, but be aware that it can and does happen. Many Christians in this hour are dropping their leaves and waning into idle gear. They are in a deciduous state and are fading into the abyss one day at a time. Nevertheless, for those who change now, the hope of a new spring is assured. Choose growth today.š›
